What each level does and does not mean
Listed is a starting point, not a judgment — it simply means we found the company in public sources and recorded checkable facts. Claimed adds the company's own confirmation. Verified means we independently confirmed specific facts, and the listing says which ones. Crucially, verification is scoped and honest: it confirms existence, an active website and accurate categories — it is not an endorsement, a quality guarantee, a certification of the company's products, or a claim about capacity, price or reputation. We verify facts we can check; we do not vouch for what we cannot.
How a company gets verified
The path is simple and free. A company first claims its listing (or applies to be listed), confirming its name, country, official website and the equipment categories it serves. We then check those specific facts against public evidence and, where they hold, mark the listing Verified with the date and scope of what was verified. If something cannot be confirmed, it stays self-reported and is labelled as such. Corrections are welcome at any stage via contact.
No pay-to-verify, no pay-to-rank
Verification cannot be bought. We do not charge for it, and a verified badge confers no ranking advantage — listings are ordered by category, country and relevance, never by payment or status. This keeps the badge meaningful: it reflects checked facts, not a paid tier. Selling verification or placement would destroy exactly the trust the program exists to build, so we do not do it. Why this matters
Most equipment directories either list companies with no verification at all or sell ranking to the highest bidder. Our approach is different: honest status on every listing, a clear path to earn a scoped verified badge, and no way to buy trust. For buyers, the status tells you exactly how much a listing has been checked; for suppliers, it offers a genuine, unpaid way to build credibility.
