Major Oilseeds — Processing Guide

Every oilseed processes differently. Oil content decides whether pressing or solvent extraction wins; hull structure decides whether to dehull; flavor decides whether to roast; and chemistry decides whether the oil is food, industrial or specialty. This guide documents 16 major oil crops neutrally, each cross-linked to the processing stages and machines it needs. Oilseeds are the feedstock half of the platform's Oil-content comparison table · Materials pillar, which also covers processing inputs like bleaching earth, filter aids, solvent and packaging.
