How We Verify Data
The provenance record on every figure
Behind each entity attribute sits four fields: the value (usually an indicative range), the source (e.g. published agronomy, engineering practice, or editorial synthesis), a confidence level (high / medium / low), and the date it was verified. The green "Editorial · date" badge you see in an entity infobox is the visible tip of this record.
Confidence levels, honestly applied

| High | Well-established, widely documented practice with little dispute. |
| Medium | Reasonable published ranges that vary with variety, equipment or region. |
| Low | Indicative or contested; treat as a starting point, verify locally. |
What we will never do
We do not fabricate figures, machine specifications, company profiles, customer reviews, certifications or standards content. Where a value is unknown or unverified, the page states that rather than filling the gap with a plausible-looking number. Engineering diagrams are drawn by us as schematics; we do not present AI-generated images as real equipment photos.
How data improves over time
Entries carry a verification date so staleness is visible. As better sources become available — including corrections from practitioners — figures are updated and re-dated. If you spot an error, tell us via contact; corrections from people with hands-on experience are especially welcome.
